Meet the Core Events Team

Events Co-ordinator John Minns.	John is responsible for our new display posters. He not only designs them but he prints and laminates them as well. A member of the East Vale Branch and a regular work party attendee. John has many innovating ideas he is keen to instigate to enhance our displays at all types of events.

Administration Doug Small.	Doug has been around for some time now. He is currently the Trust archivist and a East Vale worker. For eight years he was involved with the IWA National, running the Communications for the Festival over the three weeks (assisted at various times by other Trust members), and under the careful scrutiny of Shirley (Comms Supremo, and another WBCT member).

Quartermaster Keith Walker.	Keith, ably assisted by Maureen, has been an active member for many, many years. For several years they almost single handily attended the IWA National with their caravan. Keith's early dedication to the restoration lead directly to forming of the now successful Swindon Branch. Keith's latest project been to source new accommodation for our equipment in a safe and easily accessible location.

Team members
John Holloway (and Jenson).	Another long serving volunteer, John (with his faithful hound) has been working on the canal with the East Vale Branch since the early 1990s. Not only another stalwart at work parties, he also attends numerous events with his caravan and has also been to many of the IWA Nationals helping out in various capacities over the three week period.

Mike Matthews.	Mike is a member of the East Vale Branch. As well as attending all the East Vale and Latton work parties, Mike also travels round with his Branch Chairman to many venues taking with him a set of display boards and information leaflets to supplement the talks.
